You've always wanted to know what's behind the terms and designations of the audio world? Then take a look at our audio glossary. Here you will find a short and concise explanation of, for example, bi-amping, bi-wiring, impedance and ohms.

    • What are linear HD drivers?

Most Teufel headphones are outfitted with Linear HD drivers to convert audio signal into actual sound. Linear HD drivers were invented here in Berlin. They are diaphragms with particularly heavy-duty construction, manufactured with the tightest of tolerances. In addition, headphones with Linear HD drivers deliver very straight frequency response and thus reproduce trebles, midrange, and bass at equal volumes. That makes our headphones the perfect match for all genres of music. The tight tolerances also reduce discrepancies between the right and left diaphragms to a minimum. The result is a top-notch stereo panorama. Furthermore, the Linear HD drivers reproduce a wide frequency response – both low (down to approx. 20 Hz) and high frequencies (up to approx. 20 kHz) come out crystal clear. Linear HD drivers are also best suited to reproducing high resolution music.

Headphones: your everyday sidekick in song

There’s no better way to listen to music on your smartphone or MP3 player while on the go than headphones. First of all, they mean your music won’t be bothering anyone else. And second, they leave the hands free for other tasks or simply to swing to the beat. The practical little music makers have another thing in their favor as well – their ability to be transported. They're easy to take traveling and pack in a bag or backpack.
